Yes, so I'm new. Don't we all dislike being the new guy? Was introduced to the site by a friend who is pretty much a beginner artist, but she is slowly getting there. Obviously, I am showcasing my best work. However, I do have artworks drawn by me when I was a kid, and trust me, they are nothing like this. I think it's good to keep track of all your artwork, just so you can see how much you've progressed. I know that I have. What I thought was my best work then, oh man. Thank you very much for the warm welcome, but man, I never knew there were so many types of line art till I decided to submit something and browsed through the FAQ! It's really fascinating, and I can't wait to try out the hatching methods I found on kingjules' page. Cheers.
Yeah, most people don't include all of it. A lot of people only consider line art that you can colour (i.e. stuff that you'd find in a colouring book) as line art. But if you actually research it, you get a much broader understanding ... basically anything that uses lines to create art or effect, is line art. Even engravings and etchings are sometimes considered line art, because you use lines to do it. We don't include those here, just because it gets tricky to keep things contained, but it is interesting.
